Digestive Health

If your digestive system is not functioning optimally then the best food in the world will not nourish you. A good healthy digestive system is essential to a healthy body and mind.

Many people suffer from constant bloating, indigestion, heartburn, constipation, diarrhoea, excess flatulence and/or burping, bad breath – None of these are normal. All are a sign that something is not quiet right. Generally it is a sign of inflammation and this may be due to food intolerance, inflammation, bacterial overgrowth. As a Kinesiologist I will muscle test you for food intolerances/sensitivities during your initial consult. This really helps to take the guess work out of what you may be reacting to.

This is a great tool in clinic as on the initial consult I can send you
home with a list of foods to avoid. Most people get instant improvement
from avoiding these foods. We then work on supporting and healing the digestive system. This may involve testing

  • Microbiome analysis – bacteria in the gut
  • SIBO – small intestinal bacterial overgrowth
  • Stool analysis – can give a lot of info regarding enzyme activity, colon pH, candida overgrowth
  • Stool analysis – Parasite test

Working with the digestive system it is important to address underlying issues which may be antagonising digestive system function – such as;

  • Stress
  • Adrenal health
  • Thyroid function
  • Nervous system health

We live in an era of extremely poor digestive health. This may be due to our modern diets, high use of antibiotics, stressful lifestyles, hi gluten content of Australian wheat, super clean living environments, not being breast fed, caesarian births, genetics. Some of us have been eating foods that irritate our guts for years. In short our modern world is not good for our ancient bodies. I have experience with and have had positive results treating the digestive conditions listed below
