ONE IN SIX COUPLES HAS FERTILITY ISSUES – YOU ARE NOT ON YOUR OWN – AND HELP IS HERE!

Before you make the financial and emotional investment in IVF and other reproductive technologies (ARTs), invest four months in Phase One, designed to prepare your body for a healthy, natural conception. We have an integrative approach to fertility using nutritional biochemistry to balance hormones and nutrient levels, education on fertility awareness and the support of timely medical assessments.  Following conception, Phase Two focuses on optimising the health of you and your baby using the best of evidenced-based, nutritional medicine along with holistic health care.

PHASE ONE

The ‘Growing Healthy Babies Initiative’

While this program is recommended for all couples planning a conception, it is especially advocated for the following conditions:

  • those intending or undergoing IVF/ARTs

  • if miscarriages have been experienced

  • couples with unexplained infertility

  • males with sperm count, motility or morphology issues

  • women with irregular cycles, no cycles or not ovulating

  • endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, weight issues, diabetes, stress, depression

  • reversing side effects of the contraceptive pill

Ideally, Phase One is undertaken four months prior to desired conception allowing both the sperm and egg to be in the best possible health. It addresses the four cornerstones of pre-conception: nutritional biochemical and hormonal rebalancing; targeted detoxing; diet and lifestyle adjustment.

Fertility awareness (FA) education is encouraged throughout Phase One so that the time of ovulation can be accurately identified in each cycle. FA makes use of signs and symptoms such as body temperature, cervical mucus and cycle changes to recognise the 6 day ‘fertile window’ for either achieving or avoiding pregnancy. Period tracking apps assist the compilation of data and increase awareness. This knowledge can facilitate timely medical investigations such as blood tests and ultrasound scans.

If undergoing IVF/ARTs, this program will significantly increase the chance of a successful pregnancy by promoting good egg quality, supporting implantation by reducing inflammation and ensuring optimal blood flow – all essential to embryo survival.

PHASE TWO

Once conception has occurred your body will undergo many changes across the following nine months. Targeted trimester care ensures that you are meeting your own and baby’s nutritional needs and aims to troubleshoot possible conditions such as gestational diabetes, thyroid imbalance, morning sickness, threatened miscarriage, reflux, heartburn and indigestion, constipation and haemorrhoids, fatigue, high blood pressure and fluid retention.

Together, we will create the optimal pregnancy diet tailored to your specific nutritional needs and preferences, identifying nutritional needs and prescribing any necessary supplements.

During the third trimester, preparation for labour becomes the major focus. Establishing the best birth canal microbiome to ensure your baby is inoculated with beneficial bacteria is paramount at this time as it will become the foundation of your baby’s health and wellbeing.
